Next Generation Ministry Director: Heidi Ballenger

Heidi grew up in the small town of Mt. Zion, IL. After graduating from college, she moved to Chicago to teach in Chicago Public Schools on the Southside of Chicago. Heidi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Taylor University in Indiana and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Studies from DePaul University in Chicago. Heidi joined the Chicago Tabernacle staff in 2014. She has been serving the Lord since the young age of five.

Heidi’s mission is to live in the fullness of God and teach others to do the same. She is passionate about seeing children and teens develop a close, personal relationship with Jesus, and for them to live in victory and the power of the Spirit! Her heart is to raise up a generation that will change the world by fulfilling their God-given destinies. Heidi’s favorite thing about the Next Generation Ministry is seeing children and teens grow and become all that God has for them!

Heidi is married to Pastor Christian Ballenger. They welcomed their first son, Marshall, in June 2019.
