Devotional: Shine His Light

February 26
Posted by Pastor Toledo

The last part of the full cycle of growth as every Christian is to give. After we learn, we live, and then we give. And we give by being the light of the world. Jesus called us to be the salt and light of the world, to shine our light in the darkness and bring hope to those around us. This means living our lives in a way that reflects Christ’s love and compassion to those around us. By our actions and words, we can inspire others to follow Christ and experience the transforming power of His grace. We can be a source of encouragement, comfort, and hope to those who are struggling or facing difficult situations. Let us remember that as we give of ourselves, we are reflecting the character of Christ and fulfilling His calling on our lives.

Questions for Meditation

  1. How can we demonstrate Christ’s love and compassion to those around us through our giving?
  2. In what ways can we be the light of the world in our daily lives?
  3. How does our giving reflect our faith in God and our trust in His provision?
  4. What are some practical ways we can give of ourselves to others, whether it be through time, resources, or other means?
  5. How can we ensure that our giving is motivated by a desire to serve God and bring glory to His name, rather than seeking recognition or praise from others
  6. How can we let our light shine brightly in the midst of darkness and brokenness, and bring hope and healing to those who are hurting?
