Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." God has not called men to be lone rangers to change the world, but brothers, aiding the Father in changing each man, then family, then church, then community - and then the world.

Who we are

As men, we are called to grow as self-feeders of God’s Word, be strong stewards in the many roles in our life, and courageously lead our homes, church, workplace and community. Because of this, the Men’s Ministry at Chicago Tabernacle is focused on sharpening and building each other up through worship, studying the Word, and connection at a variety of different events.

Meet the Leader

Pastor Matt grew up in a godly home and as a teenager, surrendered his life to God at a summer camp in Wisconsin. During his time at the Moody Bible Institute, he became an intern at the Chicago Tabernacle, and after graduating, came on staff full-time. He has served as Pastor Toledo’s Assistant, Youth Pastor, and taken part in many other ministries at the church. He is married to Mandy Reneau who serves with Moms on Mission and they have two young children, Anna and Justice.

His passion is to train and disciple people in their personal lives as well as in their spheres of leadership. He is passionately committed to serving God’s people and seeing the lost come to Jesus.
