As men, we are called to grow as self-feeders of God’s Word, be strong stewards in the many roles in our life, and courageously lead our homes, church, workplace and community. Because of this, the Men’s Ministry at Chicago Tabernacle is focused on sharpening and building each other up through worship, studying the Word, and connection at a variety of different events.
Becoming Groups serve as a place for our church body to gather outside of our normal Sunday and Tuesday services to seek the Lord–deepening our walk–and to connect deeply with one another.
All of our groups gather to discuss the content of the previous Sunday’s sermon. Groups will commit over the course of three months to meeting in various locations through the city.
Pastor Josh grew up in the Midwest in the home of a pastor. After receiving a degree in Construction Management and Business from Ball State University, he moved to Chicago in 2007 where he began a career in construction project management field and started attending the church in early 2008. During this time, his walk with the Lord deepened and he began to sense a call to ministry and he joined the Chicago Tabernacle staff in 2011.
Pastor Josh and his wife Susie have a heart to encourage and serve others, as well as to equip them to fulfill their God-given mission. They were married in Spring 2011 and have two boys–Wesley and James.
