Devotional: An Everyday Miracle
The disciple Peter is found in a situation where he feels the need to defend and justify Jesus, whereas in reality, Jesus comes to Peter and shows him that he’s the one who does the defending and justifying. And in this process Peter gets to be a witness and participant to an Everyday Miracle. To accomplish this miracle, Jesus needed to do two things: first, to interrupt Peter’s situation, and second, to give him further instruction. This pattern is customary for all of Jesus’ followers en route to seeing everyday miracles.

Jesus steps into Peter’s situation, not because he needs to, but because he wants to calm his concerns. What a caring and compassionate God. Meditate on how much he cares about you today and let him work His love deep into your heart and mind.
-
Do you ever sense that God has put you on “Do Not Disturb?” What verses in Scripture speak against this notion that God isn’t listening?
-
The everyday monotony is what really comprises most of our lives. To miss God in these moments is to miss God regularly. What is an everyday moment where you can intentionally recognize God’s presence and relationship this week?
