Devotional: Step Out
In the life of faith, exemplified by Abraham, no areas of life are devoid of the hand of God. For Abraham, every area of life was uniquely devoted to and surrendered to God. This included everything from his family and friends to his own resources. Nothing was off limits for him.
Just as Abraham lived a life of faith in his finances, so God calls us to do the same, offering him a tithe of ten percent of our total earnings (Lev. 27:20, 26). It does not matter how much or how little we have; God wants us to honor him with our finances.
