Jesus’ Triumphal Entry

Hello Parents and Kiddos!
Please take a few moments to watch the story of Jesus’ Triumphal Entry. I’ll be waiting here for you. 🙂
Welcome back! In today’s Bible story, we learned that Jesus is worthy of all Praise! Please take a few moments to review the story with your kids…
Activity:
Today we are going to make palm branches and pretend to go back in time and worship Jesus like the Jewish people did!
You will need green construction paper, scissors, tape, a writing utensil, and a popsicle stick. If you don’t have these items, feel free to get creative! I used a white piece of paper and colored it green!
Trace your hand, cut it out, and tape it to the stick. If you want to make your palm branch really big, cut out a lot of traced hands! If your little ones are learning to write, lightly write the word “HOSANNA” on the branch and have your little one trace it! 🙂
With your family members or stuffed animals, throw a parade like they did for Jesus! Wave your branches and say “Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
Be sure to share your pictures with us! We miss you and would LOVE to see you in action!
Questions:
What animal did Jesus ride on when he went to Jerusalem? A donkey!
What did the people do when they saw Jesus? They put their jackets and palm branches on the ground and wave their palm branches.
What did the people say when they saw Jesus? Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Remember, Jesus is worthy of all the praise!
Blessings,
Ms. Kate
