Jesus is Alive!

Matthew 21:1-11, John 19:17-18, John 19:40,  Matthew 27:59-60, Luke 24:1-3, Matthew 28:5-6

Hello Parents and Kiddos!

Please take a few moments to watch the story Jesus is Alive!  I’ll be waiting here for you. 🙂

Welcome back! In today’s Bible story, we learned that Jesus is Alive!  Today we are going to look back on the special story of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins through Resurrection eggs! Parents, today you will need to do a little more prep for this activity. Once you have the items ready, come back together with your little one(s).

Activity:

Today you will need six plastic easter eggs, an egg carton cut in half ( you can use just the egg carton if you don’t have easter eggs), leaf, cross, strip of cloth, stone, and a chocolate chip.

Label the eggs 1 through 6 and place the following items in each egg. 1 – Leaf, 2 – Cross, 3 – Cloth, 4 – Stone 5 – Leave Empty, and 6 – Chocolate Chip

Go through the eggs numerically and tell the story. The LEAF represents when people worshipped Jesus walking into Jerusalem during his Triumphal Entry. The CROSS represents Jesus dying for our sins. The CLOTH represents how they wrapped his body after he died. The STONE represents the big stone that covered his grave. The EMPTY egg represents the empty tomb and Jesus is Alive! Finally, the SWEET treat represents the sweet surprise they felt when they heard Jesus is Alive!

Take turns telling the story! Be sure to share your pictures with us! We miss you and would LOVE to see you in action!

Questions:

Who died for our sins? Jesus!

How many days was Jesus in the tomb? Three Days!

Jesus paid the price for our sins now we can live forever with Jesus!

Happy Resurrection Sunday,

Ms. Kate
